The accountabilities of this role encompass:
• Direct provision of air service to our 40+ African Safari Travel Consultants [Who in term are managing the requirements of their international clients travelling into and around Africa]
• Management of
o Air department personnel
o Air department service
o African Safari Travel Consultant air training
o Amadeus GDS queue
o Supplier contracts, service and relationship management
 Airlines
 Consolidators
 Ticketing Partner
 GDS
o Airline product management
 IT / Tactical fares negotiation, contracting and loading
• Business needs
• Competitor analysis
 Information l News l Incident management
o Airline ADM, refund and AD management
o MIS / Reporting
o Business development

Required Qualifications

Qualification:
• Matric – Preference will be given to applicants with tertiary qualification
5 – 10+ years air travel consulting experience – Preference will be given to applicants with a proven track record of success
• Computer literate – Preference will be given to applicants highly proficient in MS Office Outlook and Excel
• GDS literate (Amadeus preferred)
• Proficient with international fares and ticketing – Preference will be given to applicants with fare course certification
• Excellent destination, logistics, airport and airline knowledge – Preference will be given to applicants with expert knowledge of Africa
• Excellent team personnel management skills - Preference will be given to applicants with team personnel management experience and supplier contract management experience
• Excellent supplier contract management skills - Preference will be given to applicants with supplier contract management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and work management skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to excel under pressure
