Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support and make domestic travel reservations with the opportunity to progress within the division.
- Assist senior consultants with clients’ bookings including voyager and avios reservations, pre-seating, on-line check-in, reconfirmations, meal and special requests.
- Issue full domestic reservations including hotel, car, air, transfers, guesthouse and villas.
- Compile quotes, itineraries and client documentation.
- Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls (overflow) while providing basic information when needed.
- Manage Live Chat
- Assist with sourcing availability during peak season.
- Cross check confirmed bookings in the relevant booking systems
- Identify problems on a file and immediately notify the consultant and/or operations manager
- Follow and adhere to all sales procedures
- Attend all training that is offered.
- Any other administrative tasks as may from time to time be required.
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- The ideal candidate will need at least a Matric/Equivalent qualification and a certificate/diploma/degree in travel with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Amadeus proficient
- Excellent knowledge of fares and ticketing
- Strong geography, destination and product knowledge
- Excellent verbal, reading and writing skills required
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure
- A service delivery mind-set and a strong customer service focus
- Adhere to client turnaround times
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Work as part of a team towards a common goal.
