Job Description
The graphic designer works in a high-pressure environment of creativity and innovation and applying the applicable brand standards and styles to all material produced.
Artwork production
- Completes full spec of brief, from concept to print
- Ensures all brand communication is to the required Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa standards
- That all produced material is signed off by destination owners, campaign partners and marketing managers
- That all material to media/print is completed before the deadlines in the production brief
Brand communication
To support Flight Centre Travel Group’s strategic and operational objectives, the graphic designer is responsible for ensuring that:
- All material produced by them meets all requirements in relation to brand communication and
- Providing direction and clarity to internal Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa clients in relation to brand communication standards
Production deadlines and timeliness
The graphic designer is responsible for ensuring that:
- All production deadlines for artwork (including proofs) are met so that the Flight Centre brand is able to ensure its pro-activeness in the market and
Production error rates
- Minimises mistakes, errors and omissions so that these do not delay the production process
Required Qualifications

Requirements
- Industry experience – minimum five years' previous experience as a senior graphic designer and preferably in a retail/corporate environment
- Tertiary qualified - a tertiary qualification in graphic design background
- Macintosh proficient in all Adobe Creative Suite programmes with:
- Advanced Adobe InDesign (essential)
- Advanced Adobe Photoshop (essential)
- Illustrator
- An all-rounder: A creative conceptualizer with strong DTP and typesetting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, able to work off templates and within strict brand standards
- Relationship building with external suppliers and internal teams
- Decision-making strengths
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and work on various different jobs simultaneously within specified deadlines
- Proactive, self-starter, ability to work on own initiative and in team environment
