Job Description
- The purpose of this role is to promote and grow the Uniworld Boutique River Cruise brand and manage
- all aspects of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises in South Africa;
- Co-ordinate and participate in training strategies to increase brand awareness;
- Preparing monthly marketing and advertising plans in relation to historic data and booking patterns;
- Participate in bi-weekly global calls conducted after hours;
- Compile monthly report of performance and both executed and planed marketing activities in relation to passenger numbers booked and travelled;
- Compiling various monthly reports;
- Ensure implementation of training the sales and reservations teams and updating staff on new products;
- Monitoring of expenses and continuously seek operational cost efficiencies;
- Understanding of Management accounts in terms of revenue vs profitability, Monthly; costs vs budget and passenger numbers vs gross income;
- Constant measuring of ROI;
- Strategising to increase market share.
- Regular ‘ghost’ calling to check knowledge;
- Monitoring of Sales and comparisons year on year;
- Consistent distribution of brochures;
- Supporting Trade partners through conferences, workshops, functions etc;
- Work with the Public Relations officer to ensure editorial and PR issues being communicated regularly to travel journalists, both in and outside of the trade

1 June – 30 September 2017 (fixed term contract)

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing or Brand Management is required;
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in marketing and management is required;
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the travel industry;
- Must have exceptional presentation skills, and
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle in a good working condition.
