Boutique high end agency with sterling reputation and excellent referral base seeks Business Development Manager to join our team in Rosebank to canvas corporate business leads, call on clients and manage relationships of existing clients for both offline business as well as our online booking system.
In our growing business there is great scope for growth to further assist in growing a team of BDM’s in the near future and oversee the division.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in travel industry and / or 3 years proven sales experience.
- Own reliable vehicle with valid driver’s licence.
- Experience as an existing business development manager in travel advantageous.
- Firm understanding of the travel industry
- Exceptionally well spoken with exemplary written skills and command of the English Language
- Dynamic personality, go getter, and problem solver
- Team player with positive outlook
- Fully comfortable with cold calling and establishing rapport with clients.
- Persuasive reasoning skills and ability to counter reason
- Ability to build relationships and retain clients under pressure
- Brand ambassador for Priority Travel, highly presentable, suiting our brand in experience, client management and ethos of the brand as a high end “cut above the rest” business.

General Details
Day to day activities will include
- Cold calling leads provided by Priority Travel Consultants
- Canvassing new business and new opportunities from scratch
- Promote our service as a corporate travel company as well as our online booking portal launching in 2017.
- To establish a BDM culture within the company and assist in growing corporate business
- Following sales process from cold call, to meeting to following up on bookings made
- After sales follow up
- Monthly meetings with corporate clients, managing requests, issues and complaints
- Monthly reporting to clients, presentation of figures
- Reporting to management on opportunities and monthly success, admin & paperwork submitted weekly
- Growing BDM division within the organisation, possibly assisting future recruits.
Salary
- Basic Salary (negotiable around market related)
- Benefits including Petrol card, company cell phone, company credit card, Travel Allowance, Company Laptop and 3G connection.
- Commission and or quarterly incentives (negotiable)
Office Hours:
Monday to Friday 08h30 to 17h00. Understanding the consultant will be road based for the majority of their day, reporting meetings and set meetings with management will be arranged.
Structure: The BDM will report directly to the General Manager, who reports to the company board.
