My Client seeks a Group Reservations Manager who will be responsible for Revenue & Yield Management: revenue optimization, reservations, statistics analysis, and evaluation of resources necessary to maximize REVPAR.

Qualification:
• MS Office – advanced skills in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Advanced skills and experience in OPERA system essential to position
• Diploma in Hospitality or similar
• Lodge or Hotel experience essential

Must obtain a Police Clearance Certificate

General Details
Responsibilities
• Monitoring and understanding the pricing of competitors, the dynamics of the local market and demand generators
• Staying abreast of industry and local market trends
• Maintains statistical reports used to justify pricing decisions
• Analyzing and reviewing monthly and weekly results, understanding gains or losses of REVPAR Index and applying this knowledge to impact and predict future results.
• Analyzing market trends and communicating results.
• Participates in weekly revenue meeting involving rate strategies, group pick-up and potential business, group and leisure pace, competitive analysis and financial room forecasts
• Responsible for management of availability, rates and inventory in Opera
• Participates in daily business review meetings with the Sales Department to manage inventory and rate as well as maximize banquet space.
• Direction and training reservation sales and front office teams to understand revenue management principles and the roles they play.
• Assists with the annual budget and monthly 30-60-90 day rooms forecast for both group and leisure segments.
Prepares 14 or 21 day forecast on a weekly basis or on request
• Works with current Reservations Manager to ensure that call center operations are effective and creates a selling environment to ensure all reservation inquiries are converted and sold in order to maximize revenue.
Additional Tasks
• Support reservation sales agents, and reservation manager with communication of vital availability, rate and inventory information as needed.
• Interviews reservations sales staff.
• Monitors and coordinates waitlists and no shows.
• Sets incentive goals for reservations.
• Oversees Reservations Manager to ensure that guest history is being captured in order to utilize for reporting and marketing purposes
• Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to track statistics on call center operations
• Ability to make strategic decisions to maximize revenue
