Job Description
- The purpose of this role is to supervise the Directs Reservations - and Follow-the-Sun Reservations teams and to perform duties of a direct reservations consultant.
- Manage the Direct Reservations – and Follow-the-Sun Teams;
- Motivate the team and provide on the job training where and when required;
- Manage the teams’ timekeeping, attendance and performance;
- Distribute and assign enquiries received to consultants via Salesforce;
- Answer telephone, web and email requests and respond to all booking requests from customers;
- Do annual staff appraisals, talent inputs and any ad hoc staff related feedback;
- Handle all discipline matters for the teams;
- Drive sales targets;
- Recognise, document and alert the Manager of trends in customer calls;
- Recommend process improvements where needed;
- Ensure that product knowledge of the team members is continually updated;
- Compile and distribute weekly reservations stats;
- Promote e-partners;
- Follow and implement the global Business to Consumer directive;
- Generate new business by following up on all enquires;
- Project a professional company image through phone interaction and good customer service;
- Follow up on bookings, payment and documentation;
- Upsell products and services;
- Identify, research and resolve customer issues;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Management is required;
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ management experience is required in a similar role;
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the travel industry;
- Preference will also be given to applicants who has experience with the Salesforce Programme;
- The successful incumbent must be computer literate.
