Job Description

Due to our business expansion we are currently looking for a Senior Consultant, who can sell Southern Africa and Namibia, to join our Cape Town based company.

This person will be responsible for promoting and selling scheduled and tailor-made tours to agents and/or individuals. Must be able to provide a world class service to all clients in order to achieve sales targets in line with the departmental and regional goals.

MAJOR TASK HEADINGS OR KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

1. Strong understanding of compiling group and FIT quotation and/or Bookings
2. Be driven and have the selling ability to achieve sale targets
3. Understand and have the ability to develop products in line with client requests
4. Ability to manage bookings from start to finish and achieving required margins
5. Effective and timeous communication to clients and management
6. Developing of client relationships with agents and individuals, to ensure repeat business
7. Strong financial and administration skills required

Required Qualifications

Qualification:
Minimum Qualifications required by the position:

• Matric (Essential) with above average marks in English
• A above average communication and computer skills. ( MS Word, Excel and Pastel)
• Travel or industry related tertiary education.
• Sales and marketing background (an advantage)
• Minimum 5 years working experience is essential ( Gained within an Inbound Tour Operator and must have sold Namibia and Southern Africa)
• Exposure to Airline reservations systems and booking engines.(an advantage)
• Ability to work in Travelogic, Touplan or similar
