Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Product Account Manager is to manage customer accounts and the product management of the Mid & Back Office portfolio of software applications.
Having MBOS knowledge and product awareness, some project management & business skills, the role is viewed as a product expert within the regions.
Product Management Duties
- Coordinate all MOBO new platform releases and existing platform version release activities associated with the with relevant internal & external groups
- Identify opportunities for the development of new features or enhancement of existing products (through analysis of customer/ prospect feedbacks and knowledge of market trends, competition gathered in research activity and gap analysis between business requirements and product offering)
- Review functional specifications to ensure they correspond to identified customer / market needs
- Interface regularly with the development teams to ensure delivery of requirements
- Market, manage and promote product functionalities to existing customers. (Account Management)
Internal Stakeholder Duties
- Ensure product portfolio knowledge transfer to all key ACO stakeholders in Internal Solution Workshops and in ad-hoc requests
- Document progress and provide status reports throughout the term of a project to all key stakeholders
- Provision of expert MOBO product portfolio knowledge to ACO teams aligned to Sales, Delivery & Support activities (Sales, Implementation, Training and Support teams)
Sales & Marketing Duties
- Participate in workshops or one-to-one meetings with customers
- Provide product content as needed to support documentation, training, sales tools and collateral creation
Account Management Duties
- Participate in workshops or one-to-one meetings with customers
- Market, manage and promote product functionalities to existing customers. (Account Management)
Availability
1 August 2018
Salary
Basic Salary 35kâ38k per month, including benefits: medical aid, retirement annuity, group life group disability
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from College or University.
- Industry experience preferable
- In depth knowledge of MOBO tools & associated user workflows is an advantage
- Amadeus GDS & MOBO platform(s) experience preferred
