Qualification:
1. Commercial Acumen:
· Take overall control of the company’s accounting function
· Ensure that the company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current strategies and future growth
· Manage cost control and policies attached to cost control across the company
· Treasury and investment management – ensuring that the soundest financial decisions are made in the best interests of the company
2. Financial Reporting & Business Review:
· Maintain and develop relevant financial reporting to manage and proactively analyze the business
· Reports financial status by developing forecasts, budgets, reporting results, analyzing variances and developing improvements
· Responsible for overall company wage analysis and review
3. Strategic Planning:
· Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business while challenging assumptions
· Ensure that the business has profitable, sustainable growth while operating ethically and within the realms of good corporate governance
· Ensure the businesses budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed and re-forecasted where necessary
4. Financial Compliance
· Ensure the financial integrity of the financial results of FCTG RSA
· Ensuring that all Financial Controllers of each pillar are maintaining adequate financial controls and are reporting accurately and promptly
· Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met in an effective and timely manner
· Risk management and internal control that supports the organization in achieving its objectives
· Understanding BBBEE compliance regulations and guiding the FCTG corporate businesses around scorecard expectations
5. Leadership
· Lead a financial team of 80 people
· Able to motivate, inspire and develop
· Provide clear direction and vision for the entire finance team
· Able to influence decisions to support overall business strategy
