Job Description
We are looking for an experienced inbound travel consultant.
As an inbound DMC, we are needing a consultant / project manager, to assist in our inbound department and assist with the increase in requests the department is receiving. All our work is tailor made and highly personalised, and will involve putting together tailor made itineraries and programmes for group, incentive and FIT requests.
A good knowledge of South Africa and Southern African destinations, as well as Mauritius, Zanzibar and Seychelles, is important.
Our work is all done on excel and powerpoint for the most part. So you would need to have excellent knowledge of these programmes.
A good understanding of how to receive a request and create an itinerary from this request, from start to finish, would be important.
Must haves:
- Experience with inbound tour operations
- Experience with tailor made itinerary creation
- Excellent excel and powerpoint skills

This position means joining a small but dynamic team and working in an open plan office, where teamwork is most important and our approach is that everyone feels part of a family, rather than “every man for themselves…” – it’s important that you would feel comfortable working in this environment, which can be quite different to working in large companies.
- Experience in inbound is vital, as well as experience in putting together tailor made itineraries.
- Own transport is preferred
- Must be able to travel with groups, on site inspections or to trade shows if and when needed
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends now and then, when the role demands this, especially when groups are travelling.
