Job Description
The duty officer is responsible for the safe & secure handling of the airline operations at Cape Town International Airport. This includes internal and external customers as well as aircraft operations.
Responsibilities
- Ground handling Liaison and actions
- Liaise with Airport Authorities and Government Authorities to ensure Air Mauritius operations are compliant and in line with local laws and legislation.
- Complete all pre & post departure flight documentation, reporting and statistical data
- Execute all reservations & ticketing requirements i.e. EMD’s.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Matriculation – Grade 12
- Tertiary Education required
- Minimum 3 years’ airline experience including dispatch, load control & operations.
- Supervisory experience an advantage
- Ability to operate independently within the guidelines stipulated in the Air Mauritius GOM – Ground Operations Manual
- Understanding & knowledge of:
- IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations,
- Airside Safety Awareness
- Security Awareness
- Ground Operations
- Weight & Balance
- Understanding of CAA, ICAO, IATA and ACSS guidelines
- Reservations, Ticketing and Amadeus knowledge also compulsory
- Computer/IT Skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills and a command of the English Language
- French an advantage
