Sales Executive
The Zambezi Queen Collection is a luxury collection of properties on the Chobe river. The sales, marketing and reservations team are based in Westlake, Cape Town.
Purpose of the Role:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and effectively managing relationships at multiple levels, to achieve sales targets set, and continually grow the client base.
The role will require exceptional interpersonal skills, strong sales administration abilities, and a thorough understanding of the inbound travel sales network.
The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly into assigned markets, set up direct sales calls, and conduct presentations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with new and core clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term growth;
- Management of sales strategies for assigned market and clients;
- Determine and recommend prospective customers from market information/resources, develop and maintain prospecting list;
- Conduct appropriate follow ups until deals are closed;
- Within established parameters, quote and negotiate rates, confirming by written contract;
- Represent the brand at major sales/trade show events;
- Trade training on destination and products;
- Coordinate site inspections of inbound tour operators and corporate representatives and conduct follow ups after each visit;
- Assist marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing plans were needed;
- Maintenance of trade database after each sales meeting / event;
- Ongoing and ad-hoc sales administration such as rates requests, CRM database management, ad-hoc sales reporting, and sales event coordination.
- Support the reservations team with resolving trade related queries on bookings;
- Provide regular feedback and weekly, monthly and quarterly reports regarding performance.

Qualification:
Experience Required:
- Sales and luxury tourism product preferred;
- Proven track recording of achieving and exceeding sales targets;
- Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals;
- A sound geographical knowledge of southern Africa;
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
- Aptitude in networking and building relationships;
- Excellent time and project management skills;
- Ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines;
- Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude;
- Strong business sense and industry experience.
