Job Description
The main objectives of this role are to provide support and bookkeeping services to Travelllinck (Pty) Ltd and our ITC’s whilst delivering service excellence and positively promoting the Club brand.
Objective
- To ensure that our Company and client’s (ITC’s) reporting requirements are met
- To provide management with accurate, complete and timeous reports
- To comply with the current legislation
Bookkeeping/ITC Accountant
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accounts are paid on time
- Raise invoices and issue statements of account to customers
- Reconciling of Debtors and Creditors
- Reconciling of Credit card Statements
- Payments to suppliers/Refunds to clients
- Claiming of commission from suppliers
- Capturing of Expenses to GL including any accruals
- Process bank transactions, queries and reconciliations
- Inspecting and running of vat reports
- Inspecting and running of detailed GL accounts
- Running month end, Income Statements, and TB’s
- Running of any additional report required by client
- VAT & PAYE Returns & Payments
- Staff Expense claims
- Provide administrative and assistance support to management
- Debt collection
- Record transactions in the correct journals and post the entries to the relevant ledger accounts
Fixed Asset Register
- Update and manage the Fixed Asset Register of the company
- Ensure all assets are fairly presented at their net realisable value
General
- It will be expected from you, from time to time, to work overtime (overtime will not be remunerated)
- Remain flexible to the wider business needs of the group by rendering assistance for ad hoc projects and duties as required by the Group Financial Manager and Directors of the Group
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in bookkeeping/accounting will be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping function
- Sound understanding of financial accounting principles
