Job Description

Financial services company seeks a strong sales person with inbound tourism experience to deal with South African and certain African markets.  The ideal candidate would have worked within sales in an inbound tour operator environment.  You will be responsible for setting and driving the sales strategy.  Drive the Company service’s sales and customer acquisition process for commercial customers.  Responsible for identifying, contacting and presenting the company’s service to prospective customers.  Form key relationships across the company with a view to develop new business opportunities and the alignment of company service objectives to other company areas and products.  Build good relationships with top commercial customers to ensure customer retention and to pro-actively identify growth opportunities within existing customer base.

Involve in training customers, new staff members and relevant company business units, contact centre, relationships managers and branches.  Assist the Head of the Business Unit with daily operations.  Prepare analystics, insights and reports as well as related presentations.  Represent the business unit at various meetings and forums.  Acquire and sustain relationships with external business partners.  General administration.  Assist with coordination of business projects.  You will be required to travel occasionally into Africa.

Required Qualifications

Qualification:

Matric.

BCom or relevant Bachelor Degree with Financial of Business subjects will be an advantage.

5 years’ experience in inbound tourism.

2 to 3 years direct sales, product development or business account acquisition experience.

Interest in technology, social media and related topics.

BCom or relevant Bachelor Degree with Financial of Business subjects will be an advantage.

Knowledge and understanding of eCommerce and related topics e.g. payments systems, foreign exchange.

Ability to communicate at all levels in an organisation.

Extremely personable, confident and at ease around people.

Hard worker, comfortable with deadlines, pressure.

Creative, ambitious and driven.

Dynamic, fast moving with a “can do” attitude, self-starter and go-getter.

Eager to constantly learn more.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Good internal and external collaborative abilities.
