Job Description
The candidate for this position will excel at sales and marketing strategy while not losing touch with the work of creating and closing new opportunities. The successful candidate will have 'Big Brand' hotel sales and marketing experience and will be able to successfully bring the skills of interfacing hotel operations with the Sales and Marketing function to the business. By using a consultative approach to selling, the successful applicant will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities for the business. To be successful, you will 'get' Hotel Marketing, and will bring social media and branding expertise to the business.

3 year Hotel Management, or Sales Management degree or diploma

- With the Commercial function, set Sales and Marketing strategy for a growing business that has reach across Africa and into the Middle East
- With the Commercial function, set pricing and yield strategy across the group
- Drive marketing activity, with special attention to Social Media and On-line presence
- Work with the Commercial function to extract best value from the On-line Booking Channels
- Cultivate and manage Key Account relationships across Southern Africa
- Liaise with international Sales Resources to ensure consistency of practice across the business
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
- Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
- Advise Directors on Sales and Marketing strategy and activity
