The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day running of touring division. Managing the wheels operations team as well as overseeing the fleet of vehicles. Managing all aspect of the guiding team including interviews, training, updates, documentation etc. Having a good understanding of the Western Cape’s tourism experiences. Being able to formulate and develop new product offerings and making sure all collateral is updated. Assisting all reservations teams with itinerary suggestions and routing's as well as guide allocations, restaurant recommendations and updating consultants with new product information. Sales & Marketing, maintain strong relationships with agents, attending trade shows where required, doing agent webinars etc. Overseeing after-hours and making sure they have all the necessary information for them to perform their job to the best of their ability. Ensuring correct procedures are followed with regards to invoicing and payments. Relieve the finance manager when necessary.

Qualification:
Applicable Tertiary Education.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar or related position in the Tourism industry. The candidate must be a team player as well as be able to manage a team. He/she must be outgoing as you will need to be able to meet with agents and clients. Must have excellent knowledge of the Cape and surrounds. Excellent interpersonal skills. Leadership skills. Ability to motivate and mentor staff. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (public and person).
