Job Purpose:
To ensure efficient and profitable operations within the Market.
Key responsibilities:
Sales
Maintain Customer / client relationships. Agents / Supplier liaison regarding updates, queries and complaints. Assist in following up and developing sales leads. Create sales and cost awareness within the team. Assist the Reservations Director with sales activities. Use knowledge to cost products in the most effective way.
Operations:
Control the quoting and operational functions of the market. Compile and check quotations. Send weekly updates on all pending files. Check Tour Guides expense sheets for specialists. Quality and margin control. Handle the emergency mobile phone. Assist Customer Care Agent with all queries on complaints received.
Financial
Ensure correct and timeous invoicing. Assist the accounts department with queries. Reconcile tour guide expense sheets on completion of tours / check guide salary invoices.
Human Resources
Backup and support the Reservations Director & Consultants. Assist the Market Manager with overseeing bookings and workload. Ensure proper training for new Consultants.
Additional responsibilities:
Assist in other departments in time of need. Be pro-active and approachable. Demonstrate good communication skills and customer care. Stay current on events and changes of suppliers / product. Communicate product knowledge.
