Exciting position available at well-established Travel Management Company based in Durban – KZN. Expand our company’s networks in key focus sectors via securing new contracts and relationships
(New Business & Key Account Management).
The BDM would have to represent the company’s interest in client meetings and organise business development duties externally as well as internal communications. Position suitable for self-motivated, sales driving individual that enjoys challenges.
- Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, or over and services, or new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Generate new leads & cold calling prospective customers.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business.
- Create a sales pipeline.
- Meet with customers / clients face to face or over virtual platforms.
- Attend workshops when necessary.
- Prepare presentation packs
- Review client proposals / fee structures
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders
- Update Database / CRM
- Upskill oneself to better understand the organisation, products, and services.
- Regularly engage with departments internally to ensure clients exact requirements and expectations are met.
- Weekly Sales Meetings / Updates
- Client / Supplier Events / Site Inspection / Workshops / Educational.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Minimum 2 years sales experience within the travel industry
