Required Qualifications
Qualification:
QUALIFICATIONS, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with a reservations system (Travel Studio Advantageous)
- Experience with ticketing and other reservations processes
- Strong destination/regional and local travel knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Southern Africa.
- Excellent organizational and administration skills
- Strong communication skills (telephonic, verbal & written) in English and preferably a local language
- High level of computer literacy (particularly Microsoft Office)

General Details
The Senior Reservations Assistant is responsible for the administration and follow up on bookings to meet Intrepid Group and Sales team requirements. The position manages the accurate and efficient confirmation of bookings for all suppliers for both Intrepid Group and external clients as scheduled and ensures the budgeted costs are correct and that all information relating to the booking is recorded in systems. They also provide confirmations to the Sales team for external clients. Where a booking is not able to be made or there is a costing issue, the Senior Reservations Assistant will provide accurate feedback and alternatives where appropriate to ensure that customer service levels are maintained. Follow-up support for all bookings, responding to enquiries from Sales and Operations, is also critical to maintain excellent customer service.
