Job Description
- To oversee marketing activities both in South Africa and International Markets
- Oversee the launch and growth of marketing activities both locally and internationally
- Implementation and execution of a marketing plan for the financial year to attract customers which yield the best possible financial advantage for the business (ie most customers who make us the most money)
- Monthly evaluation and report on enquiry source and conversion is therefore essential to this role to ensure we are scientifically reaping the best rewards on our spend
- Part of the report will be to help identify trends - which departures are most popular, how far in advance are customers booking, which are our top resorts
- The marketing plan must include a budget or proposal on how much spend will be done per applicable media
- It is vital to our business to expand our advertising beyond Facebook and Instagram and the marketing plan must therefore include channels such as direct mailers, client functions, WhatsApp marketing, linked in, Google adwords, SEO and any other proposed digital platforms
- There is still a requirement for designing, executing and managing adverts, banners and associated items not only for social media, but also for other platforms
- The management of our existing and future billboard campaigns would form part of this
- Radio campaigns and advertising must also be considered
- Promotions and events will also form part of this portfolio including sponsorships such as equestrian events and golf days etc.
- Vitally important will be weekly evaluation of any active marketing activities and assessing the success of each of these
- This will allow the business to be amiable and change course or direction based on the success of the relevant campaign
- Additionally our resort partners must be contacted for applicable campaigns to invite participation at applicable marketing fees
- During and after the campaign our partners must receive feedback and proof of marketing as part of our service to them
- Crucially would be to engage. develop & Grow potential partnership discount promotions to a portfolio identified associations and consortiums.
- As a dynamic business we naturally welcome alternate marketing and advertising opportunities which may not be mentioned above
- For discussion would be to include the diamond club portfolio as part of the marketing umbrella to ensure we are improving our repeat business ratios.
