Job Description
To act as a temporary intermediate retail travel consultant between April and June 2023 handling complex travel enquiries and bookings from online leisure enquiries via the Computravel website and an existing data base of leisure, corporate and in-bound FIT clients.
This role requires efficiency, and accuracy, delivering exceptional customer service, the ability to sell travel products in an online environment, and ensuring a positive image of the company brand.
Working hours are 09.00 to 14.00 from our office in Wynberg, Cape Town and to be contactable online via WhatsApp or email until 17.00 or for emergencies. This temporary position could become a permanent job dependant upon expertise and knowledge.

Market-related & based on experience.
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Assist clients telephonically, via email or WhatsApp.
- Acknowledge all online queries within 1 hour.
- Ascertain client’s needs and advise suitable products and services.
- Liaise with suppliers to provide clients with the most suitable holiday packages.
- Assist clients telephonically and/or via e-mail and WhatsApp with any travel queries.
- Process clients’ bookings including pre-seating, meals, and any special requirements.
- Ensure that the client has been informed of the conditions of travel, in writing, before payment is accepted.
- Create and update the client’s booking file including the client’s contact details and full details of fare quoted, and services offered.
- Inform clients of Computravel’s Terms and Conditions as well as those of the suppliers.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is issued within the allocated time.

General Details
- Certificate or preferably a National Diploma in Travel and Tourism
- Minimum 2 years of leisure consulting experience
- GDS Galileo Certificate with at least 2 years of ticketing experience, including international fares knowledge. This is mandatory and any applicants should not apply for this temporary position if they do not have a minimum of 2 years Galileo experience.
- Good geographical knowledge of all destinations for leisure travel with the ability to do dynamic packaging.
- A cheerful and positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about travel and people
- Computer literate with MS Office
