African Temptations has been serving the UHNWI U.S. market for the past 25 years with an average Guest rating of 97.8% of outstanding. The ideal candidate will be committed, flexible, and eager to learn, with a strong background in Luxury travel reservations and a true passion for serving Guests and travel. African Temptations create custom designed, private, safe, luxurious, and extraordinary Safaris to small group UHNWI's in the U.S., traveling through Africa, Greece, and India. We are dedicated to continuing our tradition of providing exceptional Guest experiences. Successful candidate must be well travelled, hands-on, professional, and confident. Required to handle the reservations from initial enquiry all the way through to follow up after the Guests have travelled. Understanding of U.S. culture, etiquette, travel preferences and writing in U.S. English will be beneficial. The successful candidate will be working at our Head Office based in Randburg, Gauteng while liaising with our offices in India and USA. Competitive and market-related salary offered. Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Tertiary certificate/degree in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality
- 10-15 years in the global luxury travel
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (as in-house software system is MS Outlook, Excel and Word based)
- Knowledge of at least 1 GDS travel, 1 tour operating system and industry legislation/partners
- Experience with cloud services, online collaboration tools, and project management software
- Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Problem-solving abilities and ability to accept a challenge
- Needs to show initiative and work independently
- Self-disciplined and motivated
- Team player with a positive attitude
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing, reserving, and managing complex, sophisticated and exclusive Luxury African and International travel itineraries
- Proactively managing all tour operations and collaborating with domestic and Int’l staff to ensure the ongoing perfection in Guest travel experiences, therefore maintaining the company’s already outstanding Guest ratings
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships and partnerships with luxury service suppliers for mutual benefit
- Managing complex quotations, and travel budgets and ensuring that deadlines are met
- Will need to research, evaluate, select and inspect appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, and transport providers
- By using business templates and checklists to make up and deliver our innovative Guest packages and adhering to our established timelines and deadlines
- Resolve Guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Carrying out of additional duties as requested
- Keep updated with company policies, procedures, and system updates
