TravelGround.com and LekkeSlaap.co.za are growing fast. We are a dynamic team of 40 people based in Westlake, Cape Town.
A new full-time, permanent position is on offer for a “Head of New Accommodation Listings”. This individual would work with our existing Establishment Liaison team to build sales processes, source new accommodation listings, and manage relationships with existing properties across South Africa.
Remuneration will be competitive and related to experience.
-- ROLE --
This exciting role will involve:
* Building scalable sales processes to sign up new hotel chains, self-catering agencies and property groups across South Africa
* Travelling South Africa as required (up to one week per month)
* Motivating and managing the Establishment Liaison team to even higher levels of performance
* Conducting business development meetings and negotiations with tourism organizations
* Managing certain procedural HR matters
* Reporting to directors on issues relating to your team, and your progress with increasing the number of properties listed with our websites

Qualification:
Required abilities and attributes:
* Experience in sales or business development is essential
* Experience in a hospitality or tourism related role is preferred
* Experience in a related role, such as Product Development for a Tour Operator, would be a bonus
* Completely bilingual in written and verbal Afrikaans and English is essential
* Strong people skills are essential
* Strong organizational skills are essential
* Good email form and writing style
* Excellent communication skills
