Role Overview:

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Processing, checking, and issuing travel documentation, including:
- E-Tickets (including NDC-based issuance and reissuance via Verteil and Air Gateway).
- Electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMDs).
- Advanced fare knowledge and application of fare rules, including:
- NDC fare structures and airline-specific fare policies.
- Traditional GDS fares and ticketing procedures.
- Quicktrav system proficiency, including:
- Processing credit card payments and issuing receipts.
- Applying DI lines in PNRs for automatic invoicing.
- Handling commission and service fee collection through various schemes, including:
- TASF and other applicable platforms.
- Debt and finance coordination:
- Ensuring ITC (Independent Travel Consultant) debtor lists are actively managed.
- Close collaboration with the finance department to maintain compliance with financial policies.
- Adhering to eTravel’s ‘Cleared Funds Policy’.
- Providing comprehensive back-office support, including:
- Administrative functions required for ITC support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, airline policies, and company procedures.
- Assisting with training and mentoring junior ticketing consultants to enhance overall team competency.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Travel qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Certified proficiency in Galileo and Amadeus GDS.
- Strong knowledge of fares and international ticketing.
- Expertise in core ticketing and e-ticketing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to take initiative.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to guide, mentor, and train junior consultants.
- Patience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.

General Details
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a retail travel consultant within a travel agency.
- At least 2 years dedicated ticketing experience using both Galileo and Amadeus.
- Experience working with NDC content, Aggregator Platforms such as Verteil and Air Gateway, and proficiency in issuing and reissuing NDC-based tickets is a plus.
