Lead Sales Team
Solid Corporate experience in hospitality
SUPPLIERS: Travel Agents / Booking Agents
CLIENTS : Corporates, Government Departments, NGO’s, Tour Operators, Airlines, Conference organisers
Manage the Sales Team who drive Hotel Sales function for specific Hotel / grouping of Hotels. Develop and maintain definitive retention, growth and acquisition strategies in line with the company’s goals and objectives
Develop and maintain a strategic database of commercial, retail, travel and organisational contracts so as to ensure maximum sales and solidify customer relations.
Undertake to predetermined levels, direct telesales and sales calls to potential and established clients in the area allocated to the satisfaction of the Director of Sales and Marketing (allocation of clients / areas will change from time to time as per company’s requirements).
Achieve the sales incentive targets whilst successfully growing profit margins as set by the company from time to time.
Devise and produce a working sales business plan, which adequately provides territorial management, adequate sales coverage and specialised commercial activities.
Increase revenue quality through value based yield management
Produce and submit required daily, weekly, monthly reports.
Attend travel functions, e.g. Fairs, trade shows, exhibitions and events in a participative or observer status.
Attend all sales meetings, sales conferences, and any other meetings, providing input as requested

Participate in educationals to hotels for commercial or travel trade contracts as required
Maintain weekly contact with general manager, reservations manager and banqueting manager in order to develop working relationship and to have a constant awareness of trends within the hotel.
Transmit all leads for business outside of your hotel to the director of sales and marketing or general manager of that property without delay.
Ensure good product knowledge of all properties in the group.
Be fully conversant with contents of the procedures manual & rates manual.
Ensure that sales actions are at all times 100% up to date and correct.
Fully familiarised with all hotel and
company policies, as well as hotel programmes offered such as Loyalty programmes, audit and service measurement programmes and merit awards.
Participate in company and hotel induction-and refresher programmes.
Demonstrate exceptional level of professionalism, maturity and emotional intelligence at all times.
Carry out continuous market research and and reported upon as required by the company.
Ensures that competitive activity is monitored regularly and reported upon as required by the company
Distributes promotional materials to sales agents, central reservations systems and third party agents.
Manage subordinates in the Sales function if applicable.
Contributes to ensuring that all laws, regulations, licenses and company policies pertaining to the operation of the Hotel are adhered to.
Serves on any other committee roles as determined from time to time.
Performs any additional tasks when and where required by the director of sales and marketing, general manager and executives.
Attend the minimum required number of new and existing customer sales calls per week

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Experience (Minimum)
Broad-based hospitality experience - 3 years
Sales and Marketing Management experience within the hospitality industry – 3-5 years in a Senior Management role
Experience in driving a Sales Team essential
Own vehicle & valid driver’s licence essential to position
