Job Summary:
Reporting to the Management Accountant; the bookkeeper maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions. Ensure the integrity and security of the company’s financial systems and procedures. Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the day-to-day functions within the Accounts Department. Ensure the function is positioned such that it can deliver value. Communicate regularly with all stakeholders on finance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Checking details of invoice for completeness and accuracy and capturing
• Processing and data capturing financial transactions.
• Daily management of Petty Cash for the group.
• Full bookkeeping function to trial balance for the group.
• Daily posting/processing of supplier administration transactions.
• Payment of supplier administration transaction/s.
• Administration creditor’s reconciliation and payments.
• Maintaining a general ledger.
• Responsible for drawing and reconciling the cashbook including loading and preparing payments for the group.
• Allocate and post financial transaction details to subsidiary books
• Reconcile and balance all accounts
• Collate and analyse account data and generate financial reports
• Maintain internal control systems
• Comply with relevant reporting requirements
• Assist with budget preparation
• Assist with audits
• Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
• Monthly processing of credit card accounts
• Completing monthly VAT returns and submission thereto online.
• Provide Admin support/ad hoc support to Management Accountant where required

Qualification:
Minimum Education Requirements:
• Matric including relevant Bookkeeping Diploma.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in Bookkeeping role.
• Strong systems background.
• Microsoft Office Excel.
• Previous experience in Travel would be considered an asset.
