Job Description

The incumbent of this role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end training and development function for core employees up to senior management. The aspect of training will cover inductions/orientation, technical training, soft skills, leaderships development. She/he will ensure that delivery of training, qualifications and experience of trainers meets the governing standards, relevant legislation and TTS requirements and the identified needs of our customers Continuous evaluation of training programs  Manage the overall development and maintenance of training material and manuals to ensure that the curricula remains relevant and up to date with the business needs  Training material must be in line with the NQF and SAQA requirements  Quality Assure all training material Ensure compliance with CATHSSETA and NQF legislations  Ensure that programs conducted are SETA accredited to equip staff with skills that are recognized in the industry  Ensure the submission of an accurate Workplace Skills plan annually.  Check that the annual SETA training report is compiled accurately and submitted according to deadlines to obtain refunds on education levies paid.

General Details

Manage identification of training and development requirements.  Manage the process of assessing learning and development requirements to address organizational strategic objectives, ensuring that it is a consultative process with key stakeholders.  Produce pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs and seizing opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit and organisational performance Ensure that formal staff development plans are compiled, reviewed and maintained as part of the performance review process bi- annually, to identify gaps in staff competence.  Manage the implementation of effective Career Planning, Mentoring and Coaching initiatives  Coordinate bursaries/financial assistance for permanent employees within according to specified guidelines Prepare training reports for Management which highlights achievement of training objectives  Collate an organizational annual development and training plan to reflect who needs to be trained by when, what skills need to be trained, and associated costs per department.  Consult with relevant stakeholders throughout regarding training and development programmes that are appropriate and relevant in addressing business requirements.  Assess the value add/ROI of HC Training and Development initiatives i.e. evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery and training material, to identify areas for improvement
