Job Description

To effectively action the travel booking process at all levels, resulting in an efficient, effective and cost conscious travel service delivery that differentiates Tourvest Retail Travel. Ensure the ongoing all encompassing viability of the Tourvest retail travel division.

 Ensure that all relevant details are obtained from clients
 Create all the necessary entries in Amadeus avoiding any fictitious information
 Build and maintain a complete record of BARS and PARS for all corporate clients
 Process client requests by conducting all required reservations
 Fax or e-mail Communicator all confirmations of travel arrangements to clients or corporate secretaries and issue all the necessary documents
 Build relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
 Book air travel with various airlines bearing in mind our company’s relationship with preferred carriers
 Book car hire using preferred suppliers wherever possible
 Book hotel accommodation and travel packages, also remembering to use preferred partners
 Provide clients with information with regard to travel insurance
 Manage and control your own queue in Amadeus
 Arrange collection and delivery of travel documentation
 Provide clients with travel itineraries
 Arrange visas on request
 Follow-up on e-mail enquiries
 Prepare and process quote requests
 Sign on to Dashboard daily to obtain updates
 Ensure that you update your product knowledge on an ongoing basis so that you maintain good knowledge
 Accountable for all cash sales from clients
 Using TDT for ticketing and Vouchers where required
 Using of Swipe Request Form
 Using of Invoicing Request Form
 Obtaining SCCCF copies where required
 To ensure all monies are collected
 Accountable for all ADM’s and errors – must work accurately at all times
CRM Processes  Fully comprehensive confirmations detailing all options/rules and restrictions/cancellation fees/change fees/ticketing time limits
 Full understanding and following of divisional procedures
 Full understanding and use of right fax
 Accepting responsibility for your work and that of colleagues
 Full understanding of transaction fees
 Ability to build BARS/PARS and use with all reservations
 Full use and understanding of Communicator
 Ability to follow paperless procedure and 100% use of quality control
 3 international quotes, 2 domestic quotes, including the cheapest quote at the time

Teamwork  Train and guide Junior Consultants
 Assist with any task assigned to you by Management
 Provide assistance to your team where necessary
 Build a good team spirit with colleagues
 Feedback as to whether tasks are completed in time and also attitude towards assisting others
 Teamwork – assist your team as well as fellow colleagues as and when required.

Customer services  Handle client queries and solve problems when necessary
 High service levels / High performance culture
 Full understanding of the spenders programmes, or other Tourvest deals
 Customer is King attitude. Acquiring and maintaining client relationships at all levels

Required Qualifications

Qualification:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS  Matric
 Relevant travel qualification
 Fares and ticketing basic course
 Amadeus/ Galileo – full course
EXPERIENCE IN YEARS  Minimum 3 years as Senior Travel Consultant (Corporate or Leisure)
KNOWLEDGE  Excellent product knowledge
 Excellent geographical knowledge
 Fares course successfully completed
 Knowledge of inter-airline policies and endorsement procedures
 Understanding and ability to interpret, explain and follow fare rules
 Full understanding of BSP
 Fully conversant with preferred partners frequent flyer programmes
 Full understanding of forex
 Full understanding of insurance
 Full understanding and use of fare finder/best fare on the day
 Full understanding and use of Amadeus
 Full understanding and use of SAM
 Ability to distinguish a misquote by an airline or colleague
 Soft Skills:
Converting to preferred partners
Up selling on tour products
Relevant computer skills – Outlook,
Quicktrav, Communicator
