Job Description
- Answer telephones and respond to direct customer requests;
- Assist with walk in passengers by offering all our services including booking air;
- Generate new business from Directs by following up on all enquires and leads
- Project a professional company image through phone interaction and good Customer Service
- Sell all products and book in the reservations system, Tropics;
- Provide customers with product and service information;
- Upsell products and services;
- Transfer customer calls to appropriate staff;
- Identify, research and resolve customer / agent issues;
- Follow up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved;
- Reply to all customer requests both telephonic and email within 24 hours;
- Recognise, document and alert the Manager of trends in customer / agent calls;
- Recommend process improvements where needed;
- Ensure your product knowledge is continually updated on all brochures;
- Assist your team members where necessary with product knowledge;
- Assist your team members with reservations bookings when needed to help achieve targets;
- Ensure all customer details are captured for a Directs database;
- Other duties as assigned within the Reservations Department.

Salary
* Negotiable salary * 50% contribution to Discovery Medical Aid * 7.4% contribution towards the organization’s Provident Fund
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Travel is required.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience is required in the retail industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Must have experience on the GDS, preferably Amadeus.
- Experience in Direct Sales will be an advantage.
