A vacancy exists at our Campus in Westlake Business Park, Cape Town for an Accountant in the Travel department. The primary focus of this position is to contribute to the objectives of the company’s Finance department by providing an effective financial administration, bookkeeping and accounting service, specifically for the Travel department.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and the Travel Manager, you are a highly motivated, innovative individual with a strong understanding of invoicing, reconciliations and relevant Travel reporting, using QuickTrav. You have the ability to interpret and perceive requirements, work independently and get the job done.
As Accountant (Travel) you will be responsible for:
• The full invoicing function (received and payable)
• Reconciliations (debtors and creditors)
• Full BSP function
• Reporting – extracting relevant and required information from
QuickTrav to generate financial, operational and management
reports
• Assisting the Achievement Awards Group core Finance team

• Ability to handle pressure
Salary Range: R12 000.00 – R15 000.00

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
• A relevant diploma or degree (Finance)
• 3 - 5 years’ experience using QuickTrav (compulsory)
• A current BSP certificate (highly preferred)
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in the Finance (Travel) industry
• 3 - 5 years’ experience using Accpac
• A good understanding of costing, debtors and creditors principles, in the
travel industry
