Job Description
The main objective of this role is to be a member of the Centralised Ticketing Department in Cape Town issuing tickets on Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan and Sabre whilst delivering service excellence and positively promoting the Company brand.
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Experience Required: 2-5 years
Competencies / Skills:
- Minimum 2 years ticketing experience for intermediate and 3 years for senior.
- Current proficiency in at least Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan or Sabre
- Strong knowledge of International fares and applying fare rules
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise work
- Effective team player
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to creatively source solutions.
- Able to work under pressure and reach deadlines.

General Details
- Issue tickets from Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan, and Sabre.
- Double check the airfare and ticketing instructions given by consultants.
- Responsible for manual fare builds, re-issues as well as auto pricing.
- Ensure all ticketing documentation is in place before issuing.
- Maintain Ticketing processes and procedures to ensure quick accurate delivery
- Working as a team with other colleagues.
- Issuing of EMD’s according to consultants instructions.
- Adhering to ticketing deadlines
- Obtaining VNETT cards for cash payments.
- Open communication with team members and team leader.
- Ensuring no tickets is issued without a credit card approval code and separate approval codes are obtained per passenger.
- Ensuring no cash tickets are issued without a bank EFT copy in the correct format.
- Ensure all bookings are sent through to Quality Control.
- Ensuring there is no ticket number in the booking prior to issuing in order to avoid duplicates.
- Assisting colleagues where necessary
- Work Saturdays.
