Job Description

  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the Travel  by Investec department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Analyse and document business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies.
  • Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general department projects.
  • Lead and motivate team to close sales
  • Suggest and assist in setting up a sales strategy
  • Set up a sales plan in order to achieve monthly and annual sales target required by the organisation. Detailing sales action plan to ensure that the target will be achieved on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Market update report on new services, competitors, business opportunities, etc.
  • Implement and manage a CRM system
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling to include: employee training, annual leave, employee breaks, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  • Schedule and conduct department meetings.
  • Complete human resource paperwork timeously.
  • Work closely with other job functions in the company to improve overall services Level
  • Immediate reporting of important issues (service, operational, HR) to direct senior level, propose solutions where possible
  • Liaise with product, marketing and client experience teams to provide feedback into the product design and client engagement process etc.
  • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
  • Provide the team with a vision of the project objectives
  • Recognise and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary
  • Familiarise the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance
  • Assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and various standards
  • Provide necessary business information to team

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years management experience.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures and technology.
  • Experience in supervising project and team activities.
  • Ability to read interpret accounting and financial report. 
  • Required to work with a flexible schedule.
