Sales Representative (Contract) Western Cape- Cape Town -Retail

Job Description

Fixed Term Contract from October 2017 – March 2018
  • The purpose of this role is to support all identified brands by sales calling on agencies in a predetermined cycle, with defined sales messages, as supplied by the National Sales Manager;
  • Feedback reports to be completed on a regular basis;
  • Attend and coordinate events when necessary (external customers events and internal events);
  • Promote products and chase sales by telephone and scheduled sales calling;
  • Necessary brand product training across identified TTC brands and brand presentations to be delivered externally once the National Sales Manager has approved product knowledge;
  • Update trade consultants on product updates as and when required;
  • Build and maintain client / business relationships;
  • Search for new business and opportunities within the Industry;
  • Turn non active agents into active agents;
  • Telesales on a regular basis (recordings for evaluation purposes) minimum of 15 calls per day;
  • Load agent details, update logins and agency information on Salesforce and Tropics;
  • Sales Plan templates and Report templates must be completed as per agreed schedule;
  • Attend consumer events outside of normal working hours;
  • Attend in-house training and increase product knowledge;
  • Market Intelligent feedback to all relevant role-players;
  • Use of Salesforce, updating details and effective reporting to travel agencies;
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by the business which will include workshops both during, before or after work hours;
  • Other activities as identified from time to time by senior management; ​​​​​​

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales is required; 
  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in sales is required;
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the travel industry;
  • Must have exceptional presentation skills, and
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle in a good working condition.
