Job Description

Two Year Fixed Term Contract with possibility to extend

CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Domestic, Regional and International Travel Requests
  • Travel requests: Receive travel requests from corporate & leisure clients.
  • Obtain the 3 best possible options on rates from suppliers for car hire, hotel and airline
  • Client travel queries - Receive and resolves travel queries from clients, e.g. provide assistance to the client in the event that they are stranded, missed the flight, etc.
  • Customer service delivery - Strict adherence to the customer's travel policy and contractual supplier agreements.
  • Responsible for accurate and completeness of customer profile information.
  • Ensure that all that all travel requests are aligned to customer travel policy and report any exceptions to the immediate manager
BUSINESS PROCESSES
  • Travel packages- Compile a quotation on the travel package and forwards this to the client.
  • Arrange bookings as per the approved quote from the client.
  • Provide booking confirmation to the client once bookings have been made with suppliers.
  • Confirm final travel bookings with the client.
  • Receive a package order or booking form from the client indicating that the client has accepted the confirmation of the bookings.
  • Apply for visa documentation and travel insurance on behalf of the client.
  • Order foreign exchange as per the client’s requirements and ensure delivery to clients.
  • Issue the travel documents, i.e. car hire, hotel and airline vouchers to the client via email
FINANCIAL
  • Revenue maximisation         
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness of fees charged.
  • Ensure maximum utilisation of preferred suppliers.
  • Responsible for accuracy and efficiency in all areas of consulting thus eliminating unnecessary financial loss.
  • Improve operating margin/yield.
  • Ensure all payments are received

  • Self-development
  • Implement training and development according to Personal development plan.
  • Read and research information in order to remain abreast with changes within the market

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Travel and Tourism
  • Galileo
  • Advanced fares and ticketing would be an advantage
