Travel Consultant/Specialist (Permanent) Gauteng- Johannesburg -Wholesale

Job Description

We are on the lookout for customer centric, Travel Adviser, who is self-motivated, creative, positive, organised and experts in creating FIT Holiday packages and meeting sales targets. Must have excellent travel and tourism product and geographical knowledge – we are looking for specialist who have a passion for the product they are selling, areas include South Africa, Africa and International product range and must have GDS experience.

Required Qualifications

Travel and Tourism Certificate
  • 5 years+ proven experience in creating holiday packages and consulting clients in a leisure or wholesale roleProven experience in costing of both international and domestic outbound travel packages and handling payments
  • Working knowledge of Excel formulas and other MS Office Applications - Outlook, Office
  • Extensive global product and geographical knowledge
  • Travel Studio reservations quoting system experience an advantage
  • Amadeus fares and ticketing experience
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • High accuracy and concentration, focusing on detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Results orientated
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Must be a team player and be able to work outside normal working hours from time to time
  • Able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure – can do attitude
