Thompsons Travel is looking for a person to assist with all general front office, accounting and administration practices. Suitable candidates will work in an exciting sales driven environment, which rewards achievers.

Required Qualifications

  • Handle Creditors function for the Cape Town Office and assist with all general accounting practices, including reporting
  • Ensure the smooth running of the financial processes
  • Provide an efficient and professional front line service to clients and colleagues on the switchboard and at the reception desk
  • Quicktrav knowledge essential
  • Assist with all visa enquires and applications
  • Travel or Tourism Certificate
  • Finance / Bookkeeping Diploma an advantage
  • Two years financial travel industry experience
  • Fully PC literate – MS Office Applications – Intermediate Excel essential
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Good geographical travel knowledge
  • High accuracy and concentration, focusing on detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent customer service skills
