Job Description

  • Works with Program Management COE to develop and maintain currency of customer segment specific delivery playbooks and utilizes playbooks to provide a globally consistent customer delivery experience
  • Defines stakeholder maps including Sabre internal, Customer and 3rd party constituents
  • Creates an escalation hierarchy for issue resolution
  • Plans and leads internal and joint Wall Walks with customers as required to ensure program success
  • Creates the project plan for the conversion/special project and manage against this plan, identify activities leading up to go-live and achieving run-rate milestones
  • Drives SMEs to identify and capture key risks and issues at the start and throughout the conversion process
  • Drives SMEs to identify mitigation strategies for risks and action items to resolve issues Tracks and logs issues throughout the project life-cycle and identify actions to resolve these issues
  • Defines action owners for activities to mitigate risks and resolve issues
  • Follows-up to complete project activities leading up to final go live
  • Communicates project status to the stakeholders identified in the stakeholder map
  • Provides required input to project/program management tracking tools (i.e. dashboards, spending, etc.).
  • Prepares management tracking/steering committee presentations as required
  • Drives towards achieving go-live and run rate milestones
  • Escalates blockers to achieving these milestones in a timely manner as per escalation hierarchy and periodic status reports as appropriate

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a team player, self-starter and possess good analytical skills.
  • Must have strong organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess the ability to make independent judgement decisions and provide recommendations for decisions.
  • Needs to be able to relate to, and communicate with internal and external customers at all levels and provide strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have above average desktop and computer application skills. (I.e. MS office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional qualification in Project Management desired, particularly to PMBOK and/or PRINCE2 standards.
  • In-depth experience in managing projects crossing multiple organisational areas.
  • Ideally, have knowledge of the GDS industry
