Job Description

They are an ATOL bonded Online Tour Operator specialising in the Mid and Long-Haul markets providing customers with a comprehensive range of travel services to Luxury Destinations around the world.  They operate from three UK trading locations which accommodate 105 full-time personnel in addition to homeworkers based around the UK and other world-wide locations.  They are now progressing expansion plans and looking to recruit at our South African base in Stellenbosch.
 
Identify customer needs through effective questioning
  • Utilise multiple suppliers and systems to find the most suitable match
  • Overcome objections to close the sale
  • Ensure all steps are taken to retain the customer and confirm the booking
  • Process customer payments securely and accurately
  • Operate a variety of supplier websites/systems to confirm different sectors of the booking
  • Load details of the holiday accurately into our “Dolphin” back-office system.
  • Achieve and exceed targets and customer expectations
  • Ensure all information obtained, inputted, and verified is accurate at all times.
  • Offer a great level of customer service in order to increase repeat business
To excel in this role you need:
  • A valid travel passport is a must (without any travel restrictions) as this role will include educational trips abroad
  • To be educated to the highest possible level
  • A proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets daily
  • GDS experience is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of other travel systems
  • Travel call centre experience in a fast-paced environment
  • You must be bonus driven and successful in exceeding targets
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, you will be team player with a “can do” attitude to your role
  • Driven with the determination to succeed
  • An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills

Salary

Competitive Basic Salary of up to R 17,700 per calendar month (dependent on experience) + Shift Allowance -Generous Bonus scheme with fantastic earning opportunities of up to R 6,400per calendar month -28 days annual holiday -Discounted Personal holidays -Educational Trips -Incentives

Required Qualifications

Experience in the Sales side of Travel.  GDS preferable but not required.

General Details

General:
They operate a shift pattern based on 5 out of 7 days with a maximum 40 hour week.  Shift patterns will vary and trading hours are up to 12 midnight. You will work a 40 hour week and flexibility is a must.
