Job Description

Are you a mature top senior consultant? Opportunity to join niche, boutique, service-orientated team.

  • Focus on delivering excellence in customer service to clients.
  • Strong focus on sales to ensure inquiries are converted to bookings in good time.
  • Good knowledge of travel in Africa.
  • Handle all booking requests from clients. This includes domestic, regional and international flights as well as car hire, hotel bookings and packages.
  • Inbound and outbound travel as well as corporate and leisure.
  • Typing up/publishing/creating of documents as per the company profile.
  • Manager to be kept informed at all times of pipe-line quote and bookings.
  • Adhere to file management systems in accordance to company policy and maintain quality control standards in all documentation.
  • Ensure all bookings are completed on time and correctly invoiced and that payment is received in accordance with respective terms and conditions.
  • Resolve all customer service issued timeously.
  • Always attempt to resolve issues with clients or colleagues and maintain a good consultant/management/office relationship.
  • Maintain and develop a close working relationship with clients, tour operators and other suppliers.
  • Assist with emergency phone & bookings as required.
  • Offer relevant 'value ads' at all times.
  • Have a good knowledge of visa requirements and keep up to date with Covid conditions of travel.
  • Have a clear understanding of your role and manage this to the best of your ability.
  • Team work is essential.
  • Be able to take instruction from management and follow orders.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Stay abreast of all Deals, Specials and happenings in the market place.
  • Experience with re-issuing and issue in exchanges essential.
  • Must have an excellent command of the english language.
  • Be confident and thrive under pressure.
  • Responsibility to ensure all work is completed.
  • Have pride in your work and always go the extra mile.
  • Be able to manage group bookings when neccessary

Salary

commission-based incentive.

Required Qualifications

  • Matric plus a qualification in travel agency operations essential.
  • At least 5 years experience in retail travel as a senior consultant.
  • MUST be computer literate.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both telephonically.
  • An excellent command of the english language essential (written and spoken).
  • Amadeus essential.
