Job Description

Assisting with the maintenance of Tourplan by :

  • Updating supplier and product information.
  • Loading and updating supplier rates.
  • Checking all the services notes in Tourplan are correct and up to date – this is done at the time of loading rates.
  • Assisting with writing and updating product descriptions as and when required.

Assisting with negotiating and obtaining rates from suppliers.

Checking that the rates received are the most competitive rates possible.

Query commission levels if necessary.

Checking to see how rate changes may affect brochure programs – both for the company and other operators.

Researching new products.

Assisting colleagues with any Tourplan rate and product queries.

Ensuring Tourplan data base is regularly cleaned out and updated as well as ensuring that any irrelevant notes or comments are updated or removed when necessary.

Negotiable depending on experience

Required Qualifications

1-5 experience in the tourism industry.

Proficient in the English language, additional languages beneficial

Computer literate and proficient on Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Previous experience on Tourplan beneficial.

Ability to multitask and assist with additional projects when needed by Product Team Leader, GM or MD.

Prepared to work extra hours, weekends, and public holidays when necessary.
