Reservations Manager (Permanent) Gauteng- Remote -Wholesale

Job Description

  • Proven experience as a Reservations Manager, with managing a team of at least 4+ reports remotely.
  • Experience within the Tourism Sector.
  • Strong destination knowledge of Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe & Zambia is a must.
  • Strong destination knowledge of East Africa an added advantage.
  • Significant travel industry experience, ideally within the luxury travel market.
  • Experience taking responsibility and dealing with major accounts.
  • Experience in building relationships with new clients to instil confidence and grow the business.
  • Reporting experience.
  • Working knowledge of the South African Labour Law and dealing with the management of staff with regards to performance management.
  • Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years  experience in a management position.
  • Strong destination knowledge on Southern and East Africa.
  • Experience working in Travel Studio and Wetu  preferable.

General Details

Destination Management inbound experience required.

Please note: Candidate should be based in Johannesburg.

 

Working hours:
Standard: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.
Global meetings: Due to the time differences between the various offices globally, the employee will have to be able to attend meetings outside of the normal working hours on a weekly or monthly basis as required.
