Job Description

Fixed Term Contract from 1 July 2015 – 29 February 2016
  • Answer telephones and respond to customer and agent requests;
  • Sell all products and book in the reservations system, Tropics;
  • Provide customers with product and service information;
  • Upsell products and services;
  • Transfer customer calls to appropriate staff;
  • Identify, research and resolve customer / agent issues;
  • Follow up on agents and customer inquiries not immediately resolved;
  • Reply to all requests both telephonic and email within 24 hours;
  • Recognise, document and alert the Manager of trends in customer / agent calls;
  • Recommend process improvements where needed;
  • Ensure your product knowledge is continually updated on all brochures;
  • Assist your team members where necessary with product knowledge;
  • Other duties as assigned within the Reservations Department, and
  • Adhere to company ethics standards.

Availability

1 July or sooner but will be negotiated

Salary

Negotiable salary

Required Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Degree in Travel is required;
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience is required in the retail industry, preferably in a similar role, and
  • Experience in Direct Sales will be an advantage as well as knowledge of Amadeus.
